Sustainability

Taking care of what is ours

For us, sustainability starts with something simple: taking care of the place we call home. Eden Hotels is a Mallorcan family-owned company, belonging to the Rosselló Castell family, with deep roots in agriculture and in the island’s countryside. The family also owns Conservas Rosselló and Son Mesquidassa, an olive estate and olive oil producer. This connection with Mallorca influences the way we understand hospitality.

Local by choice

  • Whenever possible, we work with local suppliers from Sóller and Mallorca. Our guests can enjoy Rosselló olive oil and olives, products from bakeries in Sóller, Mallorcan wines and traditional island dishes. Choosing local means supporting the people and businesses around us, keeping value in Mallorca and giving our guests the opportunity to discover the island through its flavours.

A fragile island

  • Mallorca is an extraordinary place, but it is also a fragile environment, facing challenges such as water scarcity, pressure on natural resources and climate change. We therefore work every day to reduce water and energy consumption, minimise waste and encourage our guests to use resources responsibly.
  • Since 2019, we have measured our annual carbon footprint in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition. Measuring our impact helps us understand where we need to improve and set realistic goals for reducing it.
  • We have also developed a Circularity Plan based on four practical principles: buy locally, save, reuse, measure and improve.
  • We know there is no perfect formula for sustainable tourism. But we believe that being connected to our land means taking responsibility for it.
